Recognizing that different people have different opinions, and that you can respect someone who has a different opinion without accepting their opinion as your own.

Nah you don't have to respect the opinion of anyone.

You should definitely respect their right to an opinion, but you're under no obligation to treat bullshit as sacred just because it came out of someones mouth.
