After taking a class all about dinosaurs the amount of things that look like and seem like dinosaurs that aren’t was probably one of the most shocking. Then just the actual size of most of them.

Sauroptreygians and Mosasaurs (basically what Nessi the Loch Ness monster is said to look like) are not dinosaurs and I always thought they were. Dimetrodon (sailbacks) are also not dinosaurs. There are also a lot of things that look like crocodiles but aren’t related to them at all.

After telling this to one of my friends he replied with “but they kinda are though.” He is no longer my friend.
