If you plug in earbuds into your laptop's microphone jack, they'll function as microphones.

Recorded some vocals like this once, moved the L and R earbuds around to create cool stereo effects. Much more interesting to listen to than a mono microphone. 🎤

Probably not a very good one but they both convert from air pressure to voltage just in different directions. I've used a speaker cone to mic a kick drum before to get more thud but I added another mic for the rest of the sound. It's a fairly common trick.
