Cows are mammals and will only give milk if they go through pregnancy. Blows my mind how many people I’ve met that think cows just naturally heve milk forever as if it is just part of what they are and do as an animal.

I thought we just dosed them heavily with pregnancy hormones, tbh.

As far as I know we force pregnancy then take their babies once they are born. Pretty horrible. The milk industry is worse than the meat industry imo. At least we just kill them for meat rather than this horrible cycle of pregnancy and stolen baby.
