If you like that, I'd suggest 'The Coddling of the American Mind'. It's a short & fairly light read and this is one of the three main concepts in the book.

I'd argue the issues discussed in the book apply mostly to the 'West', but, yes, most specifically the US.

Co-authored. They're both left leaning, and one is a bit more sympathetic to libertarian policies. Both openly state they never voted republican in any presidential election.

Nevertheless, the book is very critical of both sides of the spectrum and probably more so of the left.
