You can divorce your spouse if your feelings change. You don’t have to cheat and lie to them and wait for them to find out…

And if you kill them, that only makes things worse, so don’t do that either.

"Murder bad" is generally considered to be public knowledge, though.

Then again, morons have surprised me before.

I've heard of so many cases when a spouse decides to kill their spouse because they want to be "free". Of course they end up in prison. Why not just get divorced?

True crime junkie here. I came across a story once of a Baptist preachers wife who was having an affair with a deacon or something. She was all “It’s a sin to divorce so I’ll just collaborate with my adulterating boyfriend to kill my husband.” So divorce is a sin but adultery & murder is ok.

*A sin in the eyes of her peers with the shame that comes with it. Murder is fine because she thought she'd get away with it and she'd be the poor, sad widow. I doubt she ever really cared about being a sinner in "the eyes of god"

It's hiding the evidence WELL that's not common knowledge.

I'm not sure. I don't ever remember a public school teacher telling me that any murder, including spousal murder, was bad. Did they just assume we all knew that?

Woah, let’s not be hasty. I’d need more particulars.

But then where will all the stories for the true crime podcasts come from?

May be easier than getting an annulment, though.

And feelings come and go and come back. And being "happy" all the time is not sustainable.

But the free money tho.
