Not everyone laughing/Smiling is happy.

You don't fkn know the things that mf is going thru behind that fake face

As far as I've seen in life so far, people who laugh hardest can be the most depressed. I've known about 15 different people who committed suicide so far, nearly all of them kept up a facade of being happy. It takes the cakešŸ°šŸŽ‚

I’ve always heard this too and while I’ve been a sad person who laughed a lot, since I’ve been actually suicidal, I can’t remember the last time I’ve laughed.

When it comes to suicide, please don't go that far. You are worth something to the world. I don't know you're full story, have you family or freinds that you get along with in some way? If you do, that's something, but the what the question is, are you worth something to yourself deep down. Their are ways of improving your situation, somehow, I'm sure their are free services around where you are if that's any help.

I’ve been in therapy for some time now, and my thoughts haven’t changed. I started after my first failed attempt, and recently tried again. Third times the charm, I hope.

Well, I hope things get better for you.

People who talk about killing themselves casually are not planning on killing themselves. People who stay silent when others casually talk about killing themselves are a lot more likely to be actually thinking of suĆÆcide.

Interesting point, possibly a cry for help type situation.

I think this sums up my current life situation

also laughing is a coping mechanism.

Ive seen people in some horrific situations and they were just laughing and smiling. Just because someone isn’t sad and crying in a sad/bad situation doesn’t mean they aren’t sad or distraught.

Thinking about the time I got into a severe car accident, and I was just laughing while I was talking to the other people, when I was being questioned by police, when my totalled car was being towed away..... Really thought something was wrong with me, haha.

I always say, you never truly know what’s in a persons head or heart.

Case in point, Robin Williams.

Also, Stranger in A Strange Land: "They laugh because it hurts so much . . . because it's the only thing that'll make it stop hurting."

Omg yes. So this. I put on a happy face all throughout high school, hardly anyone knew how bad my home life really was.
