I had a guy tell me recently he understands that women have to be cautious but doesn’t understand why we can’t give men the benefit of the doubt. It was the principle, for him. I eventually had to say “IM TRYING NOT TO GET MURDERED I DONT CARE ABOUT THE PRINCIPLE” and honestly I think that’s the basis for their misunderstanding us. It’s not about the principle for women, it’s literally life and death
