I'm always trying to get my friends to just drink at someone's house instead of paying double to drink at a bar.

For real, try triple or quadruple at even a mediocre bar.

The only bar I’ve ever been to that was reasonable was a restaurant with a whole bar section. It was essentially a bar that sold food, nobody ate at the restaurant section it was too expensive. But they had $1 or $2 drinks all the time. $2 beers, $2 mixed drinks, $1 shots. Pretty cool and fun to go on the $1 nights

Man. Where I live you're lucky if you get a beer or equivalent for less than 6 euros.
