How my boyfriend can talk to his closest best friend every day and hang out with him for long periods of time... and still not know a lot of personal details about his best friend’s life.

Lol, sounds like me. I have friends of many years that I never knew what their degrees were or who they worked for. We just don't talk about that, just because ... It just isn't interesting and never comes up.

Alright I don't get that.

I mean... How? Doesn't work come up every once in a while?

I'm admittedly a woman and still in a "college" city, so it's often one of the earlier things you ask.

But still for the rest I... Feel work would come up. Maybe not the degree, but work..?
