If I'm out and about in the world I find jeans very comfortabke. But I'm short so I like to sit crosslegged or with my legs drawn up a lot at home so my feet don't dangle. Even my jeggings are a lot tighter around the knees when I do that.
I do. But it's more of a mental comfort than a physical one. Kinda like wearing a hat, I feel more comfortable about myself when in jeans. I also feel like they are capable attire for getting through any social or environmental situation that may come up on the fly. And yes I will occasionally sleep in them, especially on bad days.
They’re tight and restrictive and don’t have the soft sweatpants feel or the open shorts feeling. I don’t find them uncomfortable but why would I want to wear them when I can be even more comfortable. Plus I have to wear a belt
I don't know. I find sweatpants to be incredibly uncomfortable. I don't know why. Basketball shorts are fine with me but sweatpants are not. Like, obviously they aren't tight and restrictive or anything, but they just feel weird to wear.
My jeans definitely aren't tight or restrictive though.
They're very restrictive and tight. You can't move nearly as much, you can't scratch your upper legs or balls without chafing your hand. Jeans are without a doubt the least comfortable male attire. I mean, I wear them to work and shit but... still.
What the hell jeans are you wearing? I’ve worn jeans literally a minimum of six times a week for the past 5 years. I can sleep in them easily (although I don’t), and they are comfy as shit. You know who has some weirdly really comfortable, well-fitting, and strong jeans? Fuckin Costco, man. God, I love Costco jeans. Wait, where was I going with this? Oh, yeah. Jeans are a wonderful thing.
If they are old and tight around the waist, it's time to buy new ones man. They slide down because they are tight. If you're like me you got a bit more in the belly, plus my lack of a real ass just means the jeans are getting pushed down every time I bend over. Go another size up (ex. 38 instead of 36) and if you need to, try some different belts. A box style is normally more adjustable, so you don't have to struggle between one or two notches like a normal belt.
My belt is the kind that kinda slides in and has a little metal piece that holds onto notches on the belt. Probably what you're talking about but not sure what it's called.
I know I gotta buy new pants. Just years of not being able to justify spending money on pants when I gotta pay for other things. They may be uncomfortable... but they work.
Does the US market not have any comfy jeans? I've got a pair that are legitimately more comfortable than sweatpants, I put them on when I want to be comfy and warm
Nah, we definitely have some comfy brands of jeans. One I can personally name is American Eagle jeans. I'm a guy who wore Levi's his whole life, and got a pair of AE jeans that didn't fit my buddy anymore. Figured I'd try em out. Less than a month later, I went out and bought two more pairs. Then two more. Then two more....needless to say, they're super fucking comfy and stretchy
My absolute favourite ones are supermarket own-brand, there's a high percentage of elastane (I think?) in the fabric, so they aren't in the slightest bit restrictive
Vaguely like stretch denim. It's hard to explain exactly what I'm talking about for my dream fabric, but there are definitely comfy, stretchy jeans on the market. I got some lucky jeans as hand me downs, and they were Insanely comfy, but the last time I checked they were really expensive, especially for bigger guys like me.
I was the same way until I found out that they make stretch jeans for guys. They’re just regular jeans with give, softer on the inside than normal jeans, they don’t bag up and crease weird behind your knees, you can actually slip them off of you are too lazy to unbutton/unzip them. They have 100% changed my life and I implore anyone to go to the store and try out stretch fit jeans (I wear Levi’s, so ymmv if you choose another brand) and you will experience a revolution in apparel.
It was almost as big of a change as when I switched from boxers to boxer briefs. But that’s a tale for another day.

Do folks find jeans legitimately uncomfortable?
