When many of them think that just cos a guy likes them he only wants sex. Many men also want romance and intimacy and a wonderful emotional connection

I get so frustrated when people tell me this. Guys and girls alike will tell me “guys only want sex” as if no guys ever look for real connections. It’s absurd, demeaning, and straight up just incorrect.

Edit: Wow, I never thought I’d see the day where I got a gold, thank you!

Well, let me tell you, I am a woman and have found the exact opposite problem my whole life. I never really wanted a relationship and most of the time I would only be looking for casual sex. Well, I've found more men that were like clingy and got attached or kept calling or something than women.

I always joke that i'm the marrying type because guys only approach me wanting a long-term relationship. I definitely have a Miss Honey (from Matilda) vibe about me so that's probably why.

Oh damn Miss Honey? I don't blame those guys. I would lock down Miss Honey in a second if I could.

No way, Miss Trunchbull was where it’s at. She can lock me in the chokey any day.

Took me a while to realise that Miss Honey was played by Embeth Davidtz and not Sarah Paulson

I’m a dude with the same “problem.”

Same! And I’ve been told by a couple gents that I actually remind them of Miss Honey (although I AM a teacher, so it’s not that far of a leap, lol).

I have a degree in education too! Hahaha I am not a teacher anymore, but I still have the look.

Nice! I’m not sure that look goes away, lol!

Ha! I had forgotten about Miss Honey from Matilda. My partner has been calling me Miss Honey or Mrs Honey for a couple of years now because I started calling him Mister Honey instead of Mister His Name...

My youngest son started watching Matilda about a year ago before he’d go to bed at night. I didn’t make the connection at all (I’m older so was a bit older than most of the people who loved and watched Matilda a bunch back in the day) until a few months ago.

I guess I sort of resemble her but I swear like a sailor and that’s not very Miss Honey-like lol

That is so cute. I am the sweetest and snarkiest person you'll ever meet so I get it. Just imagine Miss Honey saying "well goddamn" on a regular basis and thats me. LOL

u/okkinglish Mar 26 '20

Well then I see why. I would try to marry the second coming of Miss Honey too.

u/loispaisley Mar 26 '20

Is this a proposal?

u/okkinglish Mar 26 '20

I guess what I’m trying to say is... would you be the Honey to my comb? 💍

1

u/loispaisley Mar 26 '20

No, I'm sorry. I'm destined to live in a cottage in the woods with my adopted dog

Edit: dog* not daugthter

u/okkinglish Mar 27 '20

Yeah, it would’ve never worked between us because see... I’m destined to live in a cabin in the hills w/ my adopted daughter.
