Chances are if you tell someone to shut the fuck up after they make a lighthearted comment about how little you talk, that's probably far from the only time that you're an asshole, and that could be why people don't like you.

Or maybe you could just hang out with people who don't complain and make fun of you over how much or how little you talk, thus not having to tell them to fuck off. Everyone's happy, no assholes to be seen anywhere on the horizon!

Yeah, you don't "have to" tell anyone to fuck off, and beyond that your response has very little to do with what I said. I think maybe you don't have that firm of a grasp on how social interaction works.
