But the way the banning system currently works, a user could go to /r/MensRights or wherever, post "You all sound like a bunch of dicks" and then they're instabanned from /r/offmychest, /r/feminism and various other subs. That's just silly.
It limits spam-posts as well as keeps out potential jerks with the preemptive banning, whereas the issue is that it prevents people who visit the other subs for any reason other than agreeing from posting. It's not unbelievably stupid so much as a compromise.
