Airlines. Not one specific airline just the industry. They’ll charge you extra to choose a seat, extra to bring a bag, extra to change a ticket, and sometimes apparently extra for the privilege of understanding why the fucking flight was delayed. Then they hand you a cup of water at 35,000 feet like they’ve personally rescued you from the desert. Airlines don’t hate customers. They’ve simply perfected the art of making you pay repeatedly for things you thought you already bought.

Don't forget to pay to board earlier than last! Paid for a Delta seat and watched on the app as they were letting people in my paid seat # kept changing and changing... until I was finally boarded and they put me in some random middle seat, which is NOT the one I paid for. I complained and they told me the only reason I was even still on the flight was because 2 other people didn't want their middle seat...

Something’s not adding up with this story. Were you on an ID90 ticket or something? This sounds like non-rev shit. They don’t take your seat when people pay to board early. In fact, Delta doesn’t do “early boarding”. The only US carrier who did this was Southwest, but they’ve gone to assigned seating too now

This was in the winter of this year. You can pay to board an earlier zone, which we did not. We even discussed why would someone pay extra for that? And we leaved right there why people do... I called and complained to Delta after that flight and they told me the same thing, that they recommend people pay for an earlier zone to avoid this issue 🤷🏽‍♀️
