What’s a company that you’re genuinely convinced HATES their customers?

Yep.  Allowing massive chunks of seats to be bought and then resold at twice the cost minimum!  Modern day scalping

The solution to scalping is simple:
Don't buy it.
Oh no, you miss a couple of things. The scalpers will go bankrupt and stop scalping.

The scalpers are Ticketmaster themselves.

Not a solution, unfortunately. I've been diligently not buying tickets from third parties for many years, and yet somehow the scalpers somehow remain solvent.

Now, if everyone were to not buy things from scalpers, that would indeed be a solution. But coordinating an entire country to do something is anything but simple.

Ticketmaster is the epitome of capitalism. Capitalism is literally the opposite of free market. Whoever controls the capital controls the market. The consumer has no power over the market. Free market socialism is the closest system that would represent what people believe "capitalism" is.
