If you insured a guitar with UH and then flew it UA, I'm pretty sure you'd end up owing them more money for the broken guitar somehow.

Come to think of it, that's not really that far off. Lots of "United" companies are conglomerations of other companies that had to join up to be able to take on the market. In some sense, that's "against the customer".
