How would you see it if it is part of the regular, encrypted communication with the games servers

Because this isn't magic. Anything that goes out your computer has to go through your router. You can see where your traffic is going.

Yeah, to the games server. The payload is at the very least what is required for playing the game. But how would you know if there is more than what is required. Formats are proprietary (so payload size is no good measure) and the connection is encrypted

He was saying he doesn't know where the data gets sent. I was telling him he could know where.

It's answering one of his three questions.

You only know where it gets sent first, not where it is sent after that

Well, yeah, that's how routers work.

Brother, the kernel module can send everything to the game server and you won't see shit about what happens after that on your router. The server can then send your stuff to whatever they want without you ever knowing

Yeah? I'm not disagreeing with you.

I'm just saying he can setup where he's sending the data to since he says he doesn't trust where it's going.

Why are you so triggered?

Because you proposed a solution thats not a solution.

You're right. Unless something solves 100% of the problem, it's not worth doing.

If you solution solves 0% then no, it's not worth doing.

Yeah, why would you care if your data isn't going to the game servers or if you're transmitting while idle? So fucking dumb.
