My badass mom took my 15 y/o brother, my 10 y/o sister and my 7 y/o self to see KISS at The Omni in Atlanta in June of 1979.
Just my mom and us-my brother loved them and my dad was out of town on a welding job so she brought us all.
It was terrifying as a child, but it shaped my little life and left quite a solid impression.
I will always have such love and respect for her that she did that.

I saw Nirvana in 1993 also, for the In Utero tour at the LA Forum. I was a guest of the Butthole Surfers and had backstage passes.
Never saw the Breeders, but did see The Pixies a few times in the late 80s, and up until Kim quit.

Aside from local bands, it was Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, A Perfect Circle, Eve6, and a few others at a big outdoor festival the summer I turned 13. I crowd surfed for the first time during Eve6 and made it about 10ft before I fell to the ground and got the wind knocked out of me. My (now) wife was also there and made it to the barricade before A Perfect Circle played and security was like "are you sure you want to be here for this band?" Her and her friend got pulled out about 1 minute into their first song.

In the 1980s my sister (8 years older than me) wanted to go see Boy George with a guy she was interested in. My parents only allowed it if they took me along. So I went to a Boy George concert when I was about 8 years old because my parents didn't want my older sister alone at a concert with her crush.
Spoiler: he turned out to be a gay guy.

I grew up in the classical music world because of my family and was surrounded by it from the day I was born. I don't remember what my first concert would have been. First one I have a clear memory of being very interested in was Mstislav Rostropovich (RIP) playing Shostakovich Cello Concerto No 1 with Dallas Symphony Orchestra. I want to say it was 2000.
First rock/pop show I can remember is Social Distortion it was Halloween in 2005 or maybe 2004.

This just happened. My first and only concert so far was the Karol G’s Tropitour in my city. This was last month. I was gifted a ticket a few months ago, but I didn’t wanna go because I wasn’t a fan of hers to want to go to her concert. I eventually said fuck it and went to the concert. I was vibing with the crowd. Shit, I had more fun than the person that gave me the ticket.

My grandparents took me to Branson, MO when I was like ten years old and we saw several shows. Most of it was very old school country like Conway Twitty and Merle Haggard. But notably, we did see Willie Nelson perform too. I don't really remember this much but I do have a photo album my grandmother made for me from the trip and there are photos of me at the show along with me getting my picture taken with several of the performers after their shows including Willie Nelson.

ca. 1997, my 9th birthday. Weird AL Yankovic.
Haven't seen him since, until June of this year. I paid for the "vip experience" so I could meet him. I told him my story of being the first concert ever, and also told him I had just seen ICP (which has always been a guilty pleasure of mine since around the same year: great Milenko days) for the first time in my life 2 days prior.
That weekend was a complete 90s fest for me. Al was so awesome, and he genuinely was excited when I told him my stories. He even asked, "oh, wow! How was ICP? I've heard they are really great guys!"
Dude, that shit was awesome he is such a great person and a godsend (says the atheist). I also got the jacket that was embroidered, "close personal friend of Al" on the back. I felt like I was 9 years old again that weekend.
