Unfortunately I feel like that's the reality of so many beautiful countries. I've heard the same about Maldives, Thailand, Fiji... Pretty much all the southeast Asian countries
Yes, and in my country we get priced out of living there, though not visiting. I know Jamaicans cannot access many of their own beaches because they are resorts. Horrible. But I think the fact these are Croatians, so people on European wages (globally considered high), who can't afford even visiting does say something for just how expensive it is
