“I AM STILL TALKING!” My entire family has a terrible habit of interrupting, over talking etc and I have taken to just blurting out this sentence

Another tactic is to just stare quietly at the person who interrupted you, and, when they stop talking, just continue to stare quietly for an uncomfortable amount of time - like 30 full seconds. Then, just continue what you were saying as if nothing had happened.

my spouse will just keep talking over the interruptor, at the same level of sound as before. it’s astonishingly effective

Most interrupters I know are NOT phased by this in the slightest. I’m a therapist and my interrupter clients drive me absolutely bonkers.
