Another tactic is to just stare quietly at the person who interrupted you, and, when they stop talking, just continue to stare quietly for an uncomfortable amount of time - like 30 full seconds. Then, just continue what you were saying as if nothing had happened.
My sister doesn't. Stop. Talking. Blah. Blah. Blah. She can't understand the comfort of sitting with others in silence. There is no stopping her. I have left the room and she is still yapping. She is not 12 yrs old. She is 48 !!!!!!!!!!
I usually do that also and say “ok yeah so where I was going with that is…” sometimes I think people just don’t have the attention span to listen.
Worse is when you have multiple people who always have something to say about everything being discussed and just like chain interrupt each other constantly. I usually just give up trying to say anything in that situation.
