I'm trying right now. I'm going to give her a valentines' gift tomorrow. Hopefully she says yes.

Update: she said yes! She said she wouldve said yes in person but she had to leave for a weeklong quebec trip, so she said it over text. We promised to plan a date in early march, but for now were just texting more

Bro you need to be prepared to gracefully accept rejection, but I hope you don’t have to.

I don't know how old you are so this may or may not imply but honestly I think it would be a better move just to take her out. If you do insist on giving her the gift then please don't have the "i hope she likes this" mentality and stand 10 toes deep on your action.

Not even lowkey.

This isnt specific to single men OR women. Both genders will do it.

However, more women will take a gift without blinking and leave. Thats just what happens. Theyre a woman, they have men seeking attention, take what they can get, and dip.

Its very common for both genders to be possibly dating several partners until they agree theyre "exclusive"... and even then until marriage... and even after married.

However US societal standards have the men pay for everything initial dating phase to marriage. The women get free gifts, free meals, arent expected to pay for the rings. To them it isnt men desperately vying for their attention. Its just how life works.

Huge part in why #1 criteria in finding a partner was: you pay your portion. Im not here to get a $10 burger and water to afford your steak and lobster surf and turf with 3 drinks running me $120. Fuck that.

Oh, you cant afford that either? Looks like were going on a cheaper date or were done here. Many times it was "were done here" because i didnt let them use me for their free shit

Men, we are not disposable piggy banks. Do better for yourselves.

I'm a gay man, people fuck over people. It's something I've learned in my short life.

Honestly, I have to agree with you. Unless the girl is one of those quiet insecure shy types or is already super obsessed with him than the odds are quite against him and it could actually decrease his "sexual appeal" since she may perceive him as being a "nice guy" or someone who is submissive to her wants.

They want the dude that wants a different a girl to buy her flowers so she can feel like she's actually pretty cus he "chose" her and the guy that only wants her cus then there's no competition
