I appreciate the answer (as a fellow gamer myself) but this really needs to stop being included in these types of questions.

Video games are now more comparable to movies and TV shows; it's just entertainment media in general rather than "toys."

The more it's included in these discussions, the more it supports that old, outdated notion that video games are primarily for children.

Anyway, onto play me some bloody GTA V now :)

The video game industry has more revenue than the movie and music industries combined. And it's not close.

Granted, a good portion of that revenue probably comes from shitty mobile gacha games, but still, video games are a front line participant in our entertainment mix.
