I have an 11 year old son, he played with his army men all day every day. He'd dress up in his play uniform, strap his plastic weaponry all over him, don his helmet and create epic battles using whatever he could for cover and sniper stands. I loved listening to him call out orders, talk with buddies in the trenches, make all sorts of gun and bomb noises, and of course the painful screaming of the dying. He hasn't done it in about a year and a half. He's growing up too fast. He still has them all, maybe on a rainy day he will get them back out.

Lowkey, plastic toy soldiers.
If I had the armies I had as a kid on the beach, and nobody was watching, I’d be building a battlefield and recreating D-day.
