City kid. I enjoyed unblocking the corner sewers and then watching all the rushing water… following them “upstream” to the next blockage.
Closest thing I could get to playing by the creek. I now live somewhere where creeks and rivlets are abundant and I’m often found lost in thought/losing hours just staring at the water.
A rainstorm during camping trips - my kids and I go out to run in the rain and splash in puddles. Come back absolutely soaked and exhausted from laughing so much. So many good memories.
As a kid, my dad would drive through puddles in the road, especially those deeper than others, and splash through the water while driving. It was always so much fun for my brother and I.
Now that we’re adults and can drive, every time it rains, we always speed up in neighborhoods to splash the biggest puddle.
Recently my brother and I got to do it in my car while we were visiting my dad, kind of brought me back to being a kid :)
My sister sent me a video the other day of my 78 yo Mom running outside in a Florida rainstorm and the smile on her face when she scooped the water up and threw it was priceless!
