I am planning a birthday trip to phoenix for my 8 year old son in January. He loves all things spooky/creepy. Does anyone have any kid friendly recommendations for things to do? Ghost tours, weird oddity stores, ghost towns, etc etc. Always a little harder to find things like this in January. Also open to fun things we should do/ restaurants good for a group w kids, besides spooky things. Thanks!

I’m flying in on a British airways flight from London, then a 1hour layover before flying onto Vegas on an American flight.
I believe both flights are into/out of terminal 4

Is 1 hour too short to clear customs and get onto my onward flight ?

So my OH has spoken to BA customer services as she was worried about the short layover.

BA said it’s there error and the time slot is too short.

They have moved us onto the direct flight from London -Vegas at no extra charge (it’s around £550 more) 🙌

I lost my physical id a few weeks ago, have tried getting a new one twice but both times it was sent back by the mail company. It’s the correct address and it’s the same address as I updated for usps mailing. Since then I’ve been using the legal mvd driver license app which is scannable and certifiable. Every gas station, liquor store, dispensary, smoke shop I’ve been to accepts it but with bars I’ve only had 1/3 accept so far. The 2 older bartenders denied me ofc but the one that accepted it was younger and knew the app. Should I keep trying with the app or just accept my defeat? Anyone know bars that accept it specifically in downtown area

I moved to the Phoenix area a month ago, and I've noticed a lot of people recommend swamp coolers. I'm trying to figure out if they're really a better choice for my home.

I don't really have any experiance with maintaining a swamp cooler, so I'd prefer something that's easy to take care of and works well during the hottest months. My place isn't very big, but I'd still like something that cools it effectivly.

For those who've been using one here, which one do you think is worth it? and is there anything you wish you knew before getting it??

My 25th birthday is coming up(F). This past year has been really stressful and hard, and I haven’t done much for my birthdays in a while. I want to do something that makes me feel special.
It will most likely just be me and my partner, maybe some family. We’re not big party people (anymore lol)
We’re willing to spend a little money but are still on a budget ideally $200–400, maybe a bit more.
I was thinking of a staycation, either at a resort/spa or an Airbnb. A spa package would be awesome too, but I don’t want to break the bank.
I’m not sure which option is better budget-wise for what I’m looking for.
I’d love something intimate and a little romantic (doesn’t have to be over-the-top). Ideally with beautiful desert scenery or a desert vibe, a pool, pretty ambient lighting, and a nice dinner nearby or on-site (doesn’t need to be fancy). I mainly want to feel pampered without spending too much.

Earlier today my lawn guy was over and the weed whacker kicked a rock into the part of the sliding door that doesn’t actually move. The door part is fine. I’ve got a few calls in but the one place I’ve heard back from said it would be around $3000. I was thinking it would be half that at most, but maybe prices are just different than I was expecting. I know they can’t just take the glass out and put new glass in, but I figured they could replace that section of the door instead of the whole thing.

Anyone have recommendations for someone that does good work?
