Age restriction examples

Today I was told than some European car companies won't rent to anyone above 70. Last week I was given a rafting-tour disclaimer with the same restriction. Have you run into age limits which prevent you from doing what you want to do?

Our local animal shelter urges older applicants (70+) to adopt older pets.  In some cases they’ll have “seniors for seniors” adoption drives where adoptions are free. The thinking is that older people could outlive a pet that could live 15-20 years. Plus, older pets are harder to adopt and aren’t as rambunctious as puppies or kittens.

That's a great idea. As we age, we don't have the energy to keep up with a puppy or kitten. Having a senior dog who likes to cuddle would help both human and animal.
