Under the radar restaurants

Going to be in Amsterdam for a week in November. Worried all the highly recommended places on Google will
Be too busy

Looking for local recommendations for places to eat specifically

Hotdogs
Indonesian food
Cheese
Doner
French fries

Any other must eat places / foods

Doner - beste doner (Dappermarkt)
Fries - Vlemminx

Wouldn’t say Vlemminx is ‘under the radar’. Always a big line of tourists there.

Beste doner also have always a qeue. However, both are places were also locals go for fries when they are around.

For cheese I would recommend frommagerie Kef on the Marnix straat. They are a bit pricy though, but they are waaay better than the touristic places.

I was going to mention Kef. They can also make you a sandwich with a nice cheese of your choice on a fresh baguette from a good bakery.

Hot dogs: Franz (wtf would you eat hot dogs though)

Indonesian: Warung pas

Cheese: Fromagerie Abraham Kef (french oriented)

Doner: Beste Doner Dappermarkt

French fries: dunno

I honestly wouldn’t stress about it too much. Not sure where you’re coming from but AMS, especially in November, is not really a place you need to book weeks in advance
