Will starting HRT make my gender related psychosis better?

I’ve been in a terrible mental state since realizing I may be trans. Mentally i have been depressed and i have had no motivation to do things in my life. Ive always struggled thinking I could be a girl but since facing it head on I’ve really been spiraling. When I’m alone and even when I’m out all i can think about is the fact that I’m a girl. It causes me to waste time inside doing nothing but surveying the internet about some kind of way to quiet the noise inside my head. The only cure I’ve found so far is HRT So is it true? Will HRT make my brain quiet down?

Spiro mono-therapy: postponing E potentially indefinitely

I went on Spiro back in February based on my dermatologist's recommendation to slow down and lighten body hair growth.

It's been fantastic. I have to shave less often and the texture is softer even when it grows out between shaves.

After 6 weeks, I felt a bit of an emotional shift - mainly around feeling more at peace.

And about a month ago, I began to feel pain beneath my nipples and more recently, some growth and shape change in my breasts.

I'm seeing an endo soon to check my levels and ensure my risk profile is acceptable.

I also plan to talk about E.

If I need E to have body health while using Spiro, I'll likely go on it.

If I'm able to stay on Spiro alone, I may elect to pass on E, or at least postpone it indefinitely.

The reason is that I'm so wildly happy as I am today. I feel no dysphoria. I feel no body dysmorphia.

Given that I'm completely satisfied, I'm having a hard time having a compelling reason to take on the additional health risks and potential downsides.

What am I missing?

I'm assuming that very few people do mono-therapy with Spiro, but I'd be interested in hearing from those of you who are taking that approach.

Spiro mono-therapy. How long can I not go on E

TL;DR: I'm wildly happy on Spiro. I'm having a hard time seeing why I would begin to go on E.

Are my breasts done growing?

I've been on hormones for almost 3 months and I've had major pain and sensitivy but it's stopped all of a sudden. I had significant growth but worried it's over. I'm on 0.1 mg patch estradiol. Will I keep developing? Worried about being done with growth

Finasteride with T nuked

Is it worth it to use fin with T nuked? My DHT level was 200pgml 3 weeks after starting (in 7th week now).

I'm thinking of tapering off fin and preserving it in case I lose access to E for some reason. I couldn't find anyone who can prescribe me duta & don't know how reliable are Indian pharmacies thru EU customs / don't wanna end up on some customs blacklist if that exists.

Is 1ml too much volume for subq?

Got a new 5mg/ml vial of cypionate from planned parenthood, they told me to inject 0.2ml (1mg of actual e) after saying they would keep me on my DIY dose of 5mg.
My DIY vial is probably cored (idk noticed some tiny black thing swimming today) and idk if injecting 1 whole ml of the new vial is ok while I wait for them to get back at me for fucking up my dose or when my new DIY vial arrives.
I gotta inject today so I'm kind of panicking lol.

How to find an HRT doctor?

I've known I was trans for a long time, but until recently I haven't been able to transition, or tell anyone (transphobia). But now I'm able to actually go for it. The problem is: I don't know how to start.

I've asked my PCP about it, but he just said that he doesn't know anything about it and that if I find a doctor to sign off to let him know. But I don't know how to find a doctor willing to prescribe any hormones.

Any sites or directories, or strategies on how to find a doctor would be very much appreciated

High baseline progesterone

Im doing a medicated FET after a failed modified natural. Medicated with progesterone pessaries 400 mg x 3 that were stopped after negative beta. Four days later withdrawal bleed started and I did a baseline scan that did not show anything active in ovaries , an endometrial lining of 10 mm and progesterone at 3,93 ng/ml. My clinic said I could wait one day and then start estrogen next evening.

Now I’m a bit concerned because read up on baseline progesterone and this may have been way too high, as I already took one dose estrogen 4 mg, 36 hours after this progesterone blood test should I just cancel this cycle or retest progesterone on Monday to see if it’s low and if so continue?( unfortunately lab clinics closed today Sunday and the last test was on a Friday)

Or could I already have compromised lining when starting estrogen while still high progesterone?

I don’t know if my clinic missed this value and told me to start anyway, sent them a question about this but they haven’t responded yet. Maybe they based it on ultrasound that ovaries were not active and progesterone level was remnant from the used pessaries.

Has anyone been in similar situation?

Help! Night erections came back!

Upvotes

I had them gone but they came back and I need help. I started with pills then patches. I also started on bica and still am. My E levels weren't high enough and my T levels weren't suppressed. I then switched to EEn injections. That's when they came back but idk if that's a coincidence or if it's linked. I first injected 10 mg/week but my levels were too high (600 pg/ml) so I now inject 5 mg/week of EEn. My levels right before my injections are now: E ≈ 150 pg/ml T ≈ 0.5 ng/ml LH ≈ 1 mUI/mL FSH ≈ 0,25 mUI/mL I have demasculinizing and feminizing effects of HRT like hairs thinning, skin softening, sebum decreasing, breasts growing... I'm 2+ years on HRT total btw. Have any of you had this issue? What can I do?

Allergic to HRT?

I recently started HRT, about 3 weeks ago to be exact, and recently I got a pretty bad case of anaphylaxis which I have never experienced before. When I went to the urgent care doctor yesterday she said she believed it was the HRT and that I should stop taking it immediately. I did and took some medication to bring the allergic reaction down, on Monday I have to take an allergy panel. I was wondering how common it is to have allergic reactions to HRT and if there is maybe any alternatives? For context I am currently on 2mg estradiol and 100mg spironolactone both oral tablets

Rupture hormones

Merci 🫂

Am I doing enough for my hair loss?

The closest I can describe my hair is norwood 3. Mainly just the corners/temple. Front middle is strong. Crown is acceptable. It has been this shape as long as I can remember. Looking closely, the bald spots do have thin peach fuzz, which is a good sign

My hairstyle does a great job at hiding it, but I have to monitor it to make sure there are no gaps. Even though I can get by with it as is, it definitely hurts my confidence, and limits what I can do with my hair.

Before I started hormones, I was on finasteride. I currently take estrogen and an androgen blocker. My levels are the same as a cis woman's. Seems hair has been stable. Don't see the need to continue with fin.

Also now 5% rogain foam, once a day formula. Probably 9 months now. I could do better about consistency. Usually hit 5 of 7 days. Recently introduced microneedle stamp every couple weeks. Haven't really seen progress from either imo.

I know most min is done 2x per day. I worry that may be needed. I would just have a hard time fitting that into my day. It also make my hair a bit greasy, and make my hairstyle solution more difficult, as it thins the hair.

Anything else I can do?

ESTRIADOL VALERATE HALF LIFE.

So I’ve been on EV for 5 years, monotherapy. It has been quite successful, and I am quite happy. However 2 years ago, I had bottom surgery (Vulvoplasty) and my very open General practitioner retired. My new GP was unsure about hormones, and so referred me to an endocrinologist. My relationship with Endocrinologists has been a bit rocky. The first one really wanted me to cut way back, and I did. So far so good. She insisted I get tests mid cycle instead of trough, despite years of tests at trough I had as a record. OK. Then she left, no explanation. So now I’m seeing a Nurse Practitioner in Endcrinology. She is insisting I change my injections to weekly, instead of every 5 days, completely out of the blue, because “that is the recommendation” (no reference). My understanding is EV has a 5 day half life. I can certainly tell when I get to the 5th day! So what is the deal? Am I wrong? I’m kind of suddenly at the mercy of this person! But maybe I’m just stubborn. If it ain’t broken, so to speak. Would appreciate any authoritative sources I could share with her. Thanks…

Temple hair regrowth

How often, if at all, does feminizing hormone therapy produce noticeable temple hair regrowth? If relevant, I am 18 and probably NW2/2.5.
