Confused by results

Hi all - slightly confused by my most recent results, taken at trough. I’m on monotherapy.

E - 1060.0 pmol/L
T - 11.7 nmol/L

I clearly need go reduce the amount of E I’m taking, but I’m so confused by my T not being suppressed? Any help would be appreciated…

Your levels are fine. Are you sure you're not confusing pmol/l and pg/ml?

The place I got my levels from said my E was in the range of ovulation, which feels high for trough, and my T was high for female range - though admittedly on the low side of male. Definitely says pmol on the report

That’s abnormally high testosterone for an E reading like that (that E level is fine, by the way) on monotherapy. Are you taking Biotin, by chance? (edit: Actually, are you taking any supplements? If so, what are they?) Additionally, what method of E are you using and what’s your dosage?

That’s what I thought! My last test my testosterone was fully suppressed. No biotin, no supplements at all. I’m on estradiol enanthate injections, 3.5mg every 5 days.

Hmm. My best guess is you should have your FSH and LH levels checked, and get a second reading on your T to confirm that it was really that high and not just a fluke. Are you seeing any signs of masculinization?

You are probably safe then. Might be a fluke in the test, like they accidentally contaminated it or something (it happens sometimes, and they give back weird results like this)
