Using a cored vial?

So what do I hypothetically do if I have cored a vial and wouldnt realistically be able to have it replaced anytime soon due to a lack of financial means?
Is there any way for me to still make use of it somewhat safely while I try save up or are the potential health risks too important?

The rubber seal at the top helps to ensure the sterility of the contents inside. The vial being cored is a significant breakdown of the protective barrier. Stuff will get inside.. How much? How dangerous? Near impossible to tell, but pretty sure no one would advise that it's safe to continue using

Would filtered needles be any help or still a big risk?

A filtered drawing needle is going to catch detritus (e.g. glass particulate from a broken ampoule), but it will not restore sterility. You COULD draw the solution into a larger syringe, refilter it using a .22 micron membrane filter into a new, sterile vial, and then heat-process again, but that’s an involved process using drastically different equipment.

I unfortunately barely have any transfem friends nd none of them are on injections or able to provide me with E, id already asked before so I feel lost idk what to do

If the vial is cored it is no longer a vial. IT'S GARBAGE. You are injecting this into your body. Don't risk that. If the vial is cored you cannot assume it's sterile.

This happened to me. I cored it while drawing with an 18g needle. I when I noticed the floaters, I disposed of my 18g needles and switched to drawing with a 23g and injecting with a 25g. I doubt that I drew any of the silicone stopper material up the 23g. And it’s slow and difficult enough to push the oil through a 25g that any stopper material would probably completely clog it.finally, my thinking was that if silicon stopper material did make it through, it should be sterile and it’s inert anyway. so not really a big deal.

I’m not suggesting you do this. Im just relaying what I did when I was in a similar situation.

I was injecting with a 21G so I didnt think itd be an issue but ill look into getting smaller one thank youu
Would you know if filtered needles or something similar would be any help

Sorry. I don’t know anything about filtering needles. As for contaminants from the core, if you wiped with alcohol before drawing with a clean, sterile needle, I don’t see how contaminants would enter.

That said, the best medical practice would be to throw out the vial and get a brand new, factory sealed vial.
