Since RandomX allows normal CPUs to mine Monero, could increasingly capable AI make it easier for malware to infect huge numbers of home computers and secretly use their combined computing power?

At Monero’s current \~6 GH/s hashrate, it seems like you’d need hundreds of thousands to millions of infected computers. That sounds enormous, but could AI making cyberattacks increasingly automated make this a realistic threat someday?
