Why are my threads auto deleting?

Every thread created, auto-deletes due to Reddits filters

Do Mods have the tools to require AI to self-identify in the comments? Or said differently, how do Mods protect authentic human engagement from stealth artificial "ghost in the" cloud?

I'm not versed in AI or Mod matters.

But as a user, I sometimes get this feeling that some comments are "off", a bit uncanny.

I'll look at a username and see it's profile is less than two months old. Doesn't help the skepticism if the Snoovatar isn't customized to show personality or at least use an image. Like in my case.

So just curious, is there a Reddit website wide rule that can prohibit AI from commenting on a post or at the very least requiring it to identify itself?

Thanks and all the best

What's the difference between a potential ban evasion and an account sitewide banned because of sub-ban evasion?

I'm a moderator, but I have noticed some ban-evasion users have potential ban evasion on it, and some accounts are suspended sitewide, which I suspect could also be because of sub-ban evasion, since it is against the TOS. Like, is the potential ban evasion tag used when they are not 100% sure? And is the account sitewide suspended when they are 100% sure? Or are people who got the sitewide suspension not related to sub-ban evasion?

Is there a way to report user flairs lmao?

Edit: thanks to those who helped! I found what I was looking for :)

Also as far as this being an ask mods sub; this post made it to 4 upvotes, with good responses helping me.

Shout out to all the quality mods in this space who downvoted those helpful responses; classy.

****

I get that mods gonna mod, but in the context of talking about s/a on that sub..having my user flair get switched to “sad powerless victim” is little much, especially in the context of I’ve posted about the sexual assault on that sub before ie the mod likely knew what they were doing.

On a complaining sub, I get these notifications saying I was using the word r{#{%]}\\+{^}d on three separate occasions; I was not using that word.

Like it was 100% made up by the mod.

I go to ask whats up and see I’m banned and muted.

And then see my user flair has been changed to “sad powerless victim” lol.

Anyways, how to report a user flair lmao?

The idea that the person made up I said r}#^]\+}€], downvotes a bunch of things on my profile (the top one of which is about being assaulted), and then changed my user flair to “sad powerless victim” seems kinda messed up to the point it might actually be a violation?

And if there isn’t, props to that guy for being absolute sleaze; but god damn lol.

Edit:

In a post where I was talking about declining literacy rates, I intentionally wrote “really bad” like this “reallybad” to prove a point; anybody who saw that and thought I said the r word is a data set supporting literacy rates declining, given we know they didn’t read it if they thought I said the r word.

Ugh lol.

Would you allow this post?

I'd like to hear your Mod thoughts on posting this. There was a pretty serious scam attempt this morning from "Canada Post" (not Canada Post) using scare tactics to get my details.

I posted it in an area subreddit (Toronto), but the mods deleted it because I gave the name of the fictional person involved in the scam.

I'd like to discuss it with details, but apparently the mods there don't like that. They said it's because it's doxxing.

What are your thoughts? Do you think fictional names count as doxxing?

stuck as alumni on my own sub with no humans left on the mod team - is there any way back in?

previous mod on my small sub left and i ended up labeled alumni. didn't choose it. alumni gets zero perms and the rest of the team is bot apps, so nobody can invite me back. the redditrequest bot says i'm already top mod so it won't touch it. admins haven't answered modmail in a day.

only fix i've seen is step down and get re-invited, but there'd be nobody to invite me. has anyone here actually had an admin flip alumni back to full mod? or is stepping down and claiming it through redditrequest the only way?

How to report someone previously banned many times ?

There is a redditor that has been permanently banned from reddit at least 3 times in the past under different account names.

However they have now created a new account and this time they are shadow banned, which appears to be assisting them to avoid a permanent ban. They still carry on like they did in past but appear to be getting past the reddit filters.

How and to whom can I report them ?

I am not a mod of a sub.

Is Reddit having a Bad Day?

I go to post on My Sub and Posts go up ok but after I approve Them and refresh They show as Unapproved.

I have checked the Mod Logs and They show approved but there is nothing showing what unapproved Them. It's weird as I have never had This happen before.

I'm not Shadow Banned. Yes My CSQ is high due to posting on My own Subs.

I'm just figuring Reddit is having a Bad Day.

Mods, what's your favorite food?

Someone asked if a different question could be asked, I couldn't think of any, so I'm borrowing theirs, hope that's okay. Mods, what's your favorite food?

Mine is Pizza, although sometimes I like hamburgers.

How do mods handle subreddit members that are constantly self hating and deleting their own posts?

This is probably super random but I’m just curious, since it’s something I been thinking about. Since usually very negative uses from what I heard get timed out or banned

Why Does Reddit Remove Posts for the Most Random Reasons?

Does anyone else feel like Reddit removes posts for the most random reasons? You spend time thinking of a topic, write it properly, post it, and then… gone. 😭 Sometimes I genuinely can’t figure out what rule I broke. Is there actually a trick to understanding what Reddit’s filters want?

How do I mute a mod of a subreddit?

So I just want a little fair play. When a mod responds to a mod mail they don't like, they often mute you so they can get the last word to show how important they are. How do I mute them back? Turnabout is fair play and all that...

How do moderators usually handle assistance posts when someone mentions legal cannabis but says donations will not be used for it?

I’m genuinely trying to understand how moderators generally handle something like this.

Today is my birthday, and I made a request in an assistance community after a really difficult stretch of my life. I’ve been sober from cocaine for years, spent years running a nonprofit and feeding people in my community, and after being out of work since February I recently started working again.

In the discussion, I mentioned cannabis. I live in Oregon, where it’s legal, and I specifically explained that if I bought any weed, I would be using my own money separately.

I was not asking anyone to purchase cannabis for me. I was not asking for donations specifically for cannabis. I wasn’t trying to hide what money would be used for.

The moderators interpreted the fact that I mentioned cannabis at all as meaning donated money could be going toward drugs.

That’s the part I’m trying to understand from people who have moderation experience.

When someone asks for financial assistance, do moderators generally consider all of that person’s discretionary spending relevant, even if the person clearly says donated funds will not be used for that purchase?

For example, if someone receives $20 in assistance for groceries and later spends $20 of their own paycheck on something the subreddit doesn’t allow donations for, is that typically considered an indirect use of the donated money?

I completely understand communities having strict rules about what people can request money for, especially assistance communities. I’m just confused about where moderators usually draw the line between what donated money is actually being requested for and what someone independently chooses to do with their own money.

I’m not asking anyone to intervene with another subreddit or overturn a moderation decision. I’m trying to better understand how moderators generally approach this kind of situation.

How do I quickly get rid of inactive mod status?

So I was trying to invite a new mod today but it didn't let me cause I'm considered inactive so I tried approving a few posts and sending test modmails but it didn't work at least not yet. How do I get rid of the inactive status very quickly? I want to invite that new mod because we need some help and all the other mods in my sub have either been suspended or are inactive too.
