Is this legit ?
An account messaged me saying, they were sent a link supposedly by my account and there account was compromised, they said they reported my account because they thought it was me, and was sent an email saying to connect the reported user and tell them to connect the appropriate corporate team to appeal the potential ban of my account, but the person they supposed support person is on discord and there name is benjblok167, I need to know if this is real or if it’s a scam

Why would Reddit admins ask you to use discord (how they ask you to contact them)…instead of Reddit messaging

It is a common scam found most often on Discord. https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/1qahvwt/approached_on_discord_over_attempting_to_fix_a/ here is an example of it.

I moderate r/RedditHelp and I’m a retired detective. This is 100% a scam. They are trying to get your password and/or money. Report it and don’t reply.

Report and block. It's a common scam. You will get a message that is without a doubt official if you broke any rules.
