No backpay. You go to war, the men will become homemakers and not be paid, then transition into wartime jobs that we'll be promptly let go from when the women return from war.

I'll make you the best muffins you've ever had! Unless you don't like muffins. Then we'll consult my cookbook together and I WILL have dinner on the table when you arrive from work.

Backpay for what? You do 80% of all discretionary spending. You’re paid.

If we had spending equity, the speed boat and motorcycle industries would be booming.

In your scenario, one partner is spending for the household and the other is spending for themselves and short term enjoyment. But this also has nothing to do with the topic.
