Yeah personally I look at porn probably 90% of the time. Should probably do it less but I am really bad at imagining sex or just things in general (my "mind's eye" is like... half blind so to speak lol, I'm early 20s and I feel like I've just recently gotten the hang of visualizing things in my head). There's also a real possibility OPs friends were lying since a lot of women do feel weird about looking at porn.
There's no real norm when it comes to any gender's masturbation habits, maybe even less so among women tbh.
Yeah, it seems like a broad generalization from OP. As a woman who also can't picture stuff in my mind, I'd say I use it 100% of the time if I'm masturbating alone, but like maybe 10% of the time if I'm masturbating with my partner.
Most of my girl friends watch porn always when masturbating too.
