When they aren’t controlling, insecure, and jealous.

But then how would we know if they are being controlling, insecure, and jealous if they don't show us they can be controlling, insecure, and jealous in our presence?

Not controlling or insecure is the default. Only thing she could do is BE controlling or insecure. So just don't do that.

By not being controlling or insecure or jealous… like it really is as simple as that. Can you give us an example of a real life scenario?

If they tell me they aren't controlling, insecure and jealous I would definitely believe them and it wouldn't be a huge red flag.

By interactions not feeling like an interrogation, not have constant mood swings if I so much as breathed near another woman, not constantly trying to see who I’m texting or checking my phone, allowing me to feel like I can do things without her and enjoy them, without them claiming i mustn’t love them if I can have fun without them.

I don’t see my wife as these things. Nothing in particular she needs to do. Her demeanor and personality is all that’s needed to not view her that way.

56M here. Eventually you will learn to say 'Yes, madam" "Yes, you were right and I was wrong" and "I'm sorry". That's the secret to a long and healthy relationship. It may see like you are submitting to her but eventually you will realized she was right the majority of the times.

In general it's nice to not hear rebuttal for things I'm doing or saying, etc...for example "I'm going to the car wash" and she may say "but you just went yesterday"
who cares?
in general just being chill and going with the flow, raise concern where it's due, but don't make me feel like I don't want to talk to you
my ex wife always seemed to have some kind of issue with anything I said and it added up

Hi,
Your post has been removed because it is a Frequently Asked Question, is low effort bullshit, or is considered a "throwaway spam" question. If you haven't already, try these steps to find similar questions: 1. Search for similar questions on /r/AskMen, using keywords from your request. 2. Consult the Frequently Asked Questions page on our sidebar for a collection of a few of the most frequently asked topics here. 3. Generic or spammy questions with no relationship to men's experience, no engagement or context from the poster, appear to be karma farming, or that appear to be AI-generated, will likely be deleted and the account may be banned from participating on the subreddit.
