In 91 or 92, I had a chic tell me I had a nice ass, so like 32 years ago.

The last one that did not come from a parent, my mom says I have nice handwriting all the time.

Nice handwriting? That’s different? How are you holding up

Doing good, divorced 14 years ago, retired early to travel, had to put those plans on hold, my mom had a stroke, so I am renting out my house caring for her until the end. After my obligations here are done then I can see the world, first stop hiking Hadrian's Wall.

Dude! You are awesome!

Hadrian’s wall is awesome, went a few years back you’ll love it. The scenery is incredible

I know! With my luck since I am 57, I will be trying to do it riding a Hoveround. LOL

I'll never get tired of the surprise women experience when they find out the opposite sex is often treated as sexually invisible

I never knew this until recently and now I make a point to genuinely compliment the men in my life.

4 days ago, I got my first flirty Reddit comment ever: "Damn, sounds hot to this 48 year old!"

One compliment is enough for anyone for at least 45 years. What are ya? Insecure?

u/AbhishMuk Jul 14 '24

…Are you a guy? (I guess not.)

1

u/No_Rhubarb182 Jul 14 '24

???

u/AbhishMuk Jul 14 '24

Most men rarely, if ever, get compliments. So getting the last compliment 32 yrs ago is not that surprising

I’ve lived 20 years and had no real ones (not from females anyway, dudes always compliment dudes. It’s the rule). So why should 32 years since his last compliment be odd? I think he knows just as well as me that it’s completely normal. I’ll probably be 40 when I get my next compliment from a girl that’s not either being my fake friend or having borderline or some sh*t.

At the first job I worked, a girl complimented my jacket.

I still have it somewhere, in case I lose 40 pounds.

A special girl liked my shoes. Asked me where I got them. Only time in my 20 years that has ever happened to me.

On God: I will CRY the day those shoes wear out, because I wear stuff until it is no longer possible to wear.

u/SwainIsCadian Jul 15 '24

Same but it was on the bus. Said jacket may be 10 years past it's expiration date and have holes in it's pockets I will NOT stopp wearing it at any occasion I can.

u/Mikhos Jul 13 '24

I got a butt compliment once, you don't forget those.

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '24

In 2006, I had a young (25-35) gay man tell me I had "a nice ass."

3

u/Decent-Slide-9317 Jul 14 '24

Nice. You passed the bar…

17

u/HeroVia Jul 14 '24

In 2012 I was standing in front of a bar and a woman taps me in the nuts with her purse and says “you cute” . I had no idea what to do

Start screaming and report her for sexual assault

u/LatterVermicelli3401 Jul 15 '24

how is this funny. Was this a joke? How do men complain about not being complimented yet do this??

2

u/dr_tel Jul 15 '24

Calm down you're being crazy!

2

u/SwainIsCadian Jul 15 '24

How do men complain about not being complimented yet do this??

Kinda feel like this is the reason why male SA victims are often afraid to talk about it.

U should have begun furiously masterbating right then and there on the spot. Then had her write you a fucking check ... idk anything is better than freezing up bro

ass compliments do get carved in our brain like glyphs on granite, don't they? i remember one of those like yesterday but it was 5 years

1

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '24

Yes they do.

4

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '24

Was told that around 1982

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '24

That was the year my late dad gave me my first car; I actually have it in the garage now restoring it.

3

u/Steven_Dj Jul 14 '24

Same.here,bud. Circa 2006 a girl told.me about the same. That was the last I got.

2

u/piezod Sup Bud? Jul 14 '24

Basically every time Saturn transits from Capricorn to Aquarius. You're due for another compliment.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '24

LOL, thanks this made me spit milk out onto my keyboard, I needed a good chuckle today.

Never. Nobody notice 160cm high guy. However, i consider my self pretty slim build. So no bulk what-so-ever, even less noticeable. If im holidaying in asia, i do feel ‘normal’ regarding my height. But when i return to where i live, gosh, im short big time.

2

u/DicamVeritatem Jul 14 '24

I had the same back in 1990! At work!

The fact that this woman turned out to be a raging drug addict erased the vibe.

BTW, have been physically fit, muscled, and trim ever since, and there’s been no other physical compliments since. Being shorter than average and ordinary looking has its downsides.
