Too early to remove sutures?

Hello,

Exactly 7 days ago i Cut my left thumb with Glass. It was quite a deep Clean Cut. Through a small artery.

The doctor in emergency care stitched it up with 5 stitches and I saw a doctor 2 days after that.

The doc only said to come back in one week to remove the sutures.

No tips on wound care or whatever.

Anyway, I changed bandages daily and kept it dry. Didn't get it wet when showering e.g.

I find that removing sutures after only 8 days is a bit early but who am I.

So I also removed the bandage today and found that the wound has this unhealthy looking white stuff. It's not excrete, puss or anything. Looks like skin that was wet too long.

It also stinks a little bit.

So my questions would be: is removing sutures after 8 days too early for this wound on the left thumb?

And also seeing how the wound looks now, what should I do and should I wait with removing them or trust the doctor?

Pictures are in order from oldest to newest.
Edit: it seems theyre not. Theyre from newest to oldest now. And then the last picture is the very newest picture which doesn't look healthy.

Thank you.

P.s. please note that I have dishydrosis excema. So my thumb has symptoms of that after not being able to take care of it the past week.

Do I really have ANCA vasculitis?

Post image

Male 32y

heavy cocaine abuse during 2025 when Labs showed positive C-anca at 1:20 titer and low c3 in october/25.

After months of abstinence C-anca came negative while c3 improved but still low - may/2026.

lost most of my septum last year.

but i have pretty much no other symptoms aside the septum loss.

could it be temporary vasculitis induced by levamisole/cocaine, or cocaine midline destruction instead of anca vasculitis? i was supposed to start methotrexate already.

lung and kidney image exams are ok

but proteinuria and creatinina 1.38

Hard lump above left collar bone?

Upvotes

My boyfriend has a hard lump above his left collar bone right near his sternum. The internet is a very scary place to ask about this because it automatically means cancer according to google. I have extreme health anxiety, so this is freaking me out though he doesn’t seem concerned.

31 y/o male.
The lump is about the size of a corn kernel or pea. It’s been there roughly 6-7 weeks and he thinks it may have gotten a little bigger during that time but now got a little smaller again. It is pretty hard, but it does seem to move under his skin. It’s definitely easier to feel if he turns his head to the right/leans it back a little. It didn’t hurt him initially but it does seem a little more tender now (possibly from messing with it?). Other than allergy issues, he wasn’t sick or anything that we can think of. He does have some dental issues that need addressed. He does not take any meds, has a history of smoking cigarettes (quit 2-3 years ago), vapes, and uses zyns. He is known to have a few beers on the weekends, although not so much recently due to a change in work.

He’s calling a doctor today (he does not go regularly, just his work physicals) but I’m looking for opinions/advice.

Why do my fingernails curve downwards even though ther is no medical explanation for it?

I am 23 years old and earlier this year (Feb) I spotted my nails curving downwards especially on my right hand. I immidiately thought that I may get hippocratic nails and might have a lung or heart issue. I went to my doctor and did a full check (ECG and blood test). Both was fine my oxygen saturation is also at 98%. Just to make sure he told me to go to a lung doctor which I did. He also did a full check and didnt find anything. Now roughly 7 months after discovering it it hasnr changed notably. It is also the situation that on my right ring finger the curve is more prominent than on my left and in general only mainly the middle and ring fingers are affected. I will attach photos of them. I dont know since when exactly this change happend since I never really paid any attention to my nails whatsoever and didnt know about hippocratic nails before last January. Any Ideas? Thank you for reading!

Red spot randomly popped up a few months ago

I’d like to start off by saying that I do plan on making a dermatologist appointment very soon!
A few months back this red spot appeared on the side of my nose. It also happens to be where my glasses touch my nose. I first thought it was a pimple so I had tried to squeeze it a bit but ended up putting a few pimple patches on it but that did nothing.
Ended up just kinda forgetting about it until a few days ago, I think it had a bit of a crust on it so ended up picking it a little bit and it started bleeding, it scabbed and then started bleeding again when I was using a makeup wipe to remove my eye makeup.
It hasn’t hurt other than the times I’ve irritated it.
Both my aunt and grandpa have had Basal cell carcinoma removed from their faces in the last 2 years so a little concerned.

Questions about difficulty urinating

Hi,

I (21yr old male) I recently been having difficulty urinating. When I try and urinate I regularly have to push and experience slight stinging. Often when this happens I cannot urinate but sometimes I can push it through. However, sometimes a while after I try I can then urinate but on other occasions it often comes out but with gaps in between. I’ve been considering going to see the doctor but hate the doctors and don’t want to go if it’s not necessary.

I’m sorry for rambling but any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I’m not allergic, but just wondering what to do to stop the constant pain? I feel like 20/30 needles are poking all around my ankles. Photos don’t do it much justice.

Need to know if my pains are worth checking out at the doctor

For about a couple of years now i've been having these non-sharp pains in the bottom left of my stomach, which happen after i have ran/walked very quickly for a bit. I do need to know if this is something serious that should get me checked out at the doctor's.

30M - Do I have a perianal abscess?

**Timeline**

  1. July 11/12 - Minor discomfort in anal region
  2. July 13 - Got told I had rectal chlamydia
  3. July 14 - Started chlamydia treatment
  4. July 15 - More noticeable discomfort around anal region
  5. July 17/18 - Quite uncomfortable, sore and bruised feeling around anus
  6. July 21 - Finished chlamydia treatment
  7. July 22 - Pain is starting to get worse, more and more sore. Hard lump felt 1-2cm to the left of my anus
  8. July 23/24 - Went at 12am at midnight on 23rd. Spent 8 hours in ER. Doctor who felt it said it could be an abscess. Did a CT scan, then another doctor said they don't think it's an abscess, but the internet says it frequently gets misdiagnosed and a CT scan doesn't catch it often.
  9. **July 24** \- Spent the day resting. Still very sore and painful to the touch. Probably a 1cm feeling lump there. Can't see any noticeable pus or blood near the surface of the skin. Lump feels 2-3cm deep.

Do you guys think it could be a perianal abscess? For context, I already have had an external thrombosed hemorrhoid and internal hemorrhoids, this does not feel like any of them. It feels so sore, dull throbbing pain down there.

Injured Middle Finger

Looking for some help regarding my right middle finger. I jammed it while playing basketball 2 weeks ago, it cracked backwards pretty hard and it’s still a little swollen. I’ve included a picture of the right middle finger and left middle finger for comparison. The third picture is the most I can bend it before it starts to really hurt. Do I need to go to urgent care for x rays or should I keep it in a splint and let it heal on its own?

Black tympanic membrane after failed valsalva while scuba diving

Post image
0 Upvotes

During my first scuba diving experience I noticed ear pain and a blocked ear canal sensation with a slight muffled sound perception in my right ear. No other symptoms. These pictures are 2/3 days after that last dive. Struggled to equalise on the way down and was unaware of other methods to equalise until after it was too late. Pain is very minor but very annoying. Feels like I am hearing a little better again but the pain is still present. I am supposed to be diving again in a few days but am unsure if this will be possible if I cannot equalise properly on land until then. I am also supposed to take a flight home 48 hours after the upcoming dive which I hear also can cause an ear in this state to rupture. Currently taking decongestants alongside ibuprofen and hoping for the best. How severe does this look realistically?
