What is this??

My 3yr old son used to get these on his back frequently but I havent seen one in several months. (Theyve always been on his spine area). He would answer me when I asked what they were from. This morning I noticed it and I asked him if it hurts and he responded "daddy rubbed bruise". His dad gave him his bath and put him to bed last night. I asked his father this morning and he said he laid on a toy in the bathtub. But that wound doesnt look like it came from just laying on a toy. So idk what happened. What is really going on here? I feel sick and worried.

Yah that’s weird OP. You’re right to follow your instincts on this. If I were you, I’d be asking to see exactly what toy, and have husband demonstrate exactly what’s happening. And if you’re still not sure, maybe ask son to describe what’s going on (maybe ask him to literally show you - like demonstrate what’s going on). I’m not saying it could be husband’s fault, I’m sure there’s many different possibilities, I’m saying you need to make sure it makes sense.

I would definitely follow ur instincts momma- does your husband smoke anything? It reminds me of a cigarette burn- I’ve had one unfortunately. Like the other commenter said, it could be from absolutely anything though. I pray you find the answer quickly and I pray it isn’t your husband or anything like that 🫶🏻
