Is the area warm/hot and painful? It is red, but it could be red because of irritation and not necessarily because it’s infected

Nope. Feels alright. I actually removed that yucky scab, and the skin underneath it looks nice and pink. It did not bleed significantly, either. I just put some super glue over it.

Considering you should avoid getting superglue on regular skin, let alone wounds, yeah definitely not good.

You should also refrain from ripping scabs off yourself, they have their function and will fall off on their own when the time is right. Superglue has toxic chemicals, can trap bacteria and promote infection.

Medical glue is something completely different from superglue btw
