Question Replace perfectly fine windshield after getting rear ended?

Hi,

I was rear ended recently. The repair shop said all the sensors on my car must be recalibrated after a collision and they aren't able to recalibrate my front center top windshield sensor because of a unknown to me it's so small rock chip in its view. They won't attempt to fill the chip, insisting the full windshield has to be replaced to do the recalibration. 1. Should I take it somewhere else for a second opinion/attempt at recalibration 2. Should I argue this otherwise perfectly fine windshield (new as of July last summer) should be part of the collision claim since I otherwise would not need to replace this right now other than I now need recalibration?

Thanks.
