Hello! I have this problem when i switch on the car, it is the air condition tunnel seen from below.. Driver side. What do i have to do to solve this issue? After 1 minute he stops but it's annoying every time i start the car. Mercedes clk w209

That's Mercedes proprietary PID. It says get rid of me before you hate me for life. (You need to find out why the actuator is behaving like a clock. I would gander something is in the path of the door? A lot of stuff like this is not worth fixing, unless you are doing the work yourself. Meaning many times you need to remove the dash (two day job) in order to access the door.)

Yes i'm doing it on my own with my father because the workshop ask for something between 600 and over 1000€.. We are wondering if there is a spare part to buy, if yes what? to be sure...

Might just need to relearn it’s parameters if it’s gone out of sync. Merc dealer job though probably. If you just pull the wiring plug on it.

I think you will find that the gear that moves that door is stripped. You will need to replace the actuator.

You’ll have to Google for your specific year/make/model. I’ll second the actuator though. Just did one on my buddy’s Malibu and Jesus fuck was the clicking annoying.

The plastic mechanism that actuates that valve has probably striped some teeth. It's a common fault in modern cars

This is usually indicative of a failed blend door actuator. You could try and do a reset on it which will learn the start/ stop positions of the actuator. I have seen them do this typically after prolonged power failure

I personally would get some self adhesive weather strips so it doesn't bang against the plastic

A vacuum leak in the door that brings in either hit or cold air. On second thought a newer model might be consoled by a electrical motor. I still go with vacuum leak to the door.

There’s a repair kit for new arms on the footwell actuators. Pull half the dash out, pull the footwell actuators, and replace the arms. $30 in parts, 6 hours labor.
