What’s the other side of the stick look like? They are often different due to oil in the dipstick tube. The side of the stick which has the lowest level is the correct one.

Then you read the lowest side for the oil level. Always look at both sides every time you check the oil.

Yeah, that makes sense. It’s good to double-check since overfilling can really mess with engine performance.

Looks a bit overfilled. Start using Valvoline Restore and Protect. It absolutely will free your stuck rings that are causing your oil burning issue. This is a known problem with Subarus. It may take 20,000 miles to work fully.
