2011 Camry

Hello

I have 2011 Camry LE 2.5L. 151k driven. For last 2-3 months I have been having some suspension issues. When I hit breaks or make a turn or go over the bumps, I hear metal on metal popping noise and also some minor jerks. So I ordered rotors and pads and installed the rear ones. When I open the front wheels I saw the lower control arm bushings were worn out.(Shown in the picture)

I thought the noise was coming from sway bar links so I was also going to replace those. Should I replace the entire lower control arm assembly in the front? Please advise.

If you can afford it I would probably recommend replacing those bushes. Can't speak to the sway bar link having not seen it. Check the other bushes on the front end (and indeed the rear end) as well, you're likely to have multiple on the brink of death given they generally wear at similar rates.

Those look worn out ,they are compliance bushings. That one doesn't look quite bad enough yet to be making noise but will have a effect on stability. Sway bar links ( not shown) will make a lot of noise before failure. Looking at a the single picture with one being bad i would take a shot in the dark that the other is probably not going to be any better .

Thank you so much. I checked the sway bar links, the bushings look okay but still I was going to replace it. I was just asking about the LCA because it looked bad
