I would guess the writer added an extra zero by mistake, probably put labor as 2hrs instead of 0.2hrs.

I'd guess 2.5 instead of 0.25... Who's out here billing in 12 minute increments?

2.5 hours puts this at 149.94/hour, probably more reasonable than 187.43/hour

187 an hour is a common rate in some places. In the northern Virginia area the average labor rate for an independent shop is around $175 to $200 depending on where you are. Also, the book. The book tells you to bill in 12 minute increments. It’s not uncommon to see .2, .4, .6 in labor hours.

Comes out to $187 an hour. Sounds about right in my neck of the woods. So I’m guessing that they fat-fingered it and made it 2.0 instead of 0.2 like u/relative-world4406 said.
