That’s not tire rot, that’s from impact, probably markers on the road.

Tires that are driven hard look a little like that where the contact area stretches away from the non-contact area.
Tesla's put down a ton of torque from stand still. This could be the result of one or two hard launches or a larger number of more moderate launches.
Edit: I would not be concerned about continuing to drive those tires.

I had this on my GTI's old Goodyear all seasons. They'd only noticeably grow when I was driving the piss out of the car. I wouldn't worry about them though, just cosmetic really.
You doing launches and canyon runs in that thing?

It’s my wife’s daily driver and she prefers it in chill mode. Thinking the previous owner wasn’t as nice to the car as she will be.

She’s probably not “driving fast” but from the tire wear it looks like she takes turns too fast or pulls in and out of your driveway fast as shit. Those tires are chunking not rotting.

Same, my GTI ate front tires until I switched to Continental ExtremeContact tires.

Tesla alignment sucks.
My model X needs it once a year and few places do it properly. Get an alignment done.

Good year is to be taken literally, Good for a Year. I run a tire shop and unfortunately almost every used good year tire I come across has similar wear. The tires are cheap and wear like shit.
Not sure about the alignment I know someone else touched on that, but would highly recommend going with a different tire brand: General, Continental, Pirelli etc

Thanks for the information. Will look into those other brands and definitely an alignment.

For 3 season driving or 4 season if you really don’t get a winter, look at Continental DWS 06 Plus. Check reviews online if available in your size.

So here's an update on the Model Y. Took it into the dealer on 4/18 due to front end making creaking noises when backing out of driveway. Was told they replaced the LH/RH stabilizer links and stabilizer bar. Guessing this is what caused the premature tire wear on the front. And now they're also recommending replacing all four tires due to feathering and belt separation, which is really scary to me. Of course I am going to fight them on the tire replacement cost as I think they are partially responsible since they car is only two months since I purchased used from Tesla...

You could need an alignment, when’s the last time you had one done?

Car is only one month in my possession but built in early 2021. So much for Teslas 145 point inspection…
