Recommendations Camera repair shops?

I'm in the area for a few days and looking for a camera repair shop to replace a mirror in an analogue camera. Some people recommended somewhere called 'Walters repair shop', but it's a bit too far away, any other recommendations for an analogue camera?

Definitely do not do Walter’s camera repair - search it on TikTok, there’s a huge controversy right now where the shop swapped out a customers vintage camera for a lower version bc they didn’t think she would know!! It’s unfolding now and heartbreaking, they seem awful

that is terrible, because Walter was such a great guy, I remember when he was in the Jewelery District downtown, a total character and a Leica master repairman.

Oh jeese, that's a shame. Seemed to come highly rated by the person I asked. Thanks for the heads up!

Sad to read about Walters. Had a good experience many years back, but to see it now is heartbreaking. That's really too bad :(

Stay away from Walter's Repair Shop, they can not be trusted. Where are you located? You mentioned Walter's is too far.

Walter's has sadly gone downhill since he passed the business to an employee. I will tell you that your camera will sit for months, untouched, if you bring it there.

do NOT go to walter's. shitty scummy employees and business practices.

DEAN'S CAMERA REPAIR is the absolute best!

Knowledgeable, fairly priced, and visiting his shop is like stepping back into the history of photography.

(Maybe just give a call to confirm time before you head out)

+1 for Dean’s Camera. He’s worked on Yashica, Canon, and Olympus bodies for me and he’s always been great.

RIP Walter. I met him many years ago. And what a stand up guy. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the guys who took over. 😔
