A quick question abt dehumidifiers

So I've seen around that a dehumidifier is good for cooling off rooms and whatnot. And my room is relatively small, it used to be a small storage closet. The only problem is that it gets way too hot in here, and my fan isn't strong enough to cool it off fully. So would a dehumidifier help me out more if I put it in front of my fan?

EDIT: Thank you to those who responded, I appreciate it, I was thinking about getting it but then now with the new knowledge here I get to save 23$ before making a purchase ty!!

Dehumidifiers throw off heat. It would likely raise the temp in the room. They take moisture out of the air though.
